Welcome to Community Market Cooperative
We are a passionate group of consumers, producers, health care professionals and retirees who are interested in bringing healthier food options and more local products to the Carroll regional area. CMC will be a full service grocery store focusing on natural, organic and local foods and products. We will be working with local, regional and national suppliers to provide a wide range of products.
Recently member-owners have been asking to have access to more information on our progress. We are pleased to provide the following new items to our web site.
- Access to all board meeting minutes and agendas for upcoming board meetings.
- A list of all our member-owners, so you know before you speak to someone whether they are already a CMC member-owner. COMING SOOM!
We hope these new items will give you more information to get involved and to help us build our owner-base. Cooperatives are only as strong as their owners, and can only be financially successful with a solid owner-base.
Shop the Coop
We have local, natural and organic products for sale on our web site. Some of these products are from what we sold during the Carroll Farmers' Market. Looking for locally and naturally raised lamb from Wise Acres Farm? How about an extra large, sturdy, canvas shopping bag?
Check out our online store to see what we have.
Our Partners
We are grateful to the following organizations for their guidance, financial support and partnership. We would not be as successful without them.
- Food Co-op 500
- FC500 granted us a $9,000 matching Seed Fund grant which enabled us to pay for a market feasibility study and to get incorporated. As a grant recipient we send them monthly reports and we have the opportunity for monthly phone conferences with an advisor. They also offered us (and other coops) free webinars, which have been instrumental in our research and planning. For more information about their program, visit their website www.foodcoop500.coop
- M&M Divide
RC&D
- We cannot say enough thanks to the employees and board of M&M Divide RC&D. Patty has been assisting us with all our administrative needs including keeping our membership database updated, assisting in mailings, paying our bills and keeping our finances in order. Rick has been a valuable and trusted advisor to the board and has assisted us in writing grants, looking for funding options, suggesting events and activities and attending our board meetings. Visit their website to learn about all the other projects they also work on, www.mmdividercd.org
